The participation of civil society organizations in working, advisory and action groups should not be formal but rather essential. By restoring essential participation, local ownership is also restored.
The inclusion of the civil sector in the programming of state aid is necessary, however, the involvement of state institutions in the programming of international aid is also of high importance.
I believe that this form of knowledge and opinion exchange between CSOs, the public sector and donors must be held at least on an annual basis. I also believe that as CSOs we must support the Directorate for European Integration and accentuate the importance of this institution, and work together to develop cooperation tools and promote the EU integration.
An open and critical approach aimed at all segments related to civil society can be of immensely helpful. We cannot recall a more open public conversation on these issues taking place in the last twenty years.
